This fantastic Lo Brujo Garnacha is aged for 9 months in the bottle before release. It has an expressive bouquet of brambly blackberry, black cherry, red currant, and a healthy dose of spice, in particular black pepper.
In the mouth it’s full of concentrated berry flavors, lovely spiciness, and a strong yet well-balanced underline of minerality. Made from Garnacha grapes selected from bush vines averaging 50 years in age.
This is an outstanding wine at an exceptional value.
88 Points – Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar:
Powerful aromas of red berry preserves, blood orange and pungent herbs, with a deeper note of licorice. Acts a lot like a red wine, offering weighty black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that show a bit of warmth and pick up spiciness with air. The broad finish shows good punch.
